Dr. Pavlak is board-certified in both physical medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine. He has been practicing as a specialist for 30 years and has performed over 45,000 electrodiagnostic consultations and studies. Dr. Pavlak has made neuromuscular diagnosis his major focus and routinely evaluates patients with common conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome as well as more complicated diagnoses such as nerve injuries, “pinched” nerves from the neck or low back, peripheral neuropathies and nerve and muscle diseases such as ALS, myopathies, and unusual nerve entrapment syndromes. He maintains a close collegial relationship with academic neurologists at teaching universities where he can obtain expeditious second opinions on esoteric/unusual cases if necessary.
