Sarah Shubert, M.D. grew up in Bangor, Maine. After graduating from Yale University, she completed her medical school and residency training at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. She received fellowship training in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine and was Assistant Team Physician for the San Diego Padres (MLB), the University of California – San Diego athletic teams and the San Diego State University football team. Dr. Shubert also provided care for the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team. In addition, she served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Texas Tech School of Medicine. She is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Shubert is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and a the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She has been an instructor in arthroscopy at several national courses and has had multiple publications and national presentations.
Dr. Shubert specializes in the care of sports injuries and performing minimally invasive procedures such as knee arthroscopy. She is also an expert in complex shoulder disorders and performs innovative procedures such as reverse total shoulder replacement and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Dr. Shubert and her family reside in Falmouth, Maine.
